Associates: Barry Richards, Ted LeFevre

Profile: Hairspray is a high-energy show, with lots of dancing. Nearly everything we provided was danced on, stood on, sat upon, climbed, pushed, pulled, thrown, grabbed, handled and operated by actors. And if it didn’t do any of those things, it sparked, fogged, lit up, or moved by remote control.

As with many “re-productions” (by the time it opened in Toronto, it was already a big hit on Broadway and on the road) it was important that we re-created what everyone liked and knew would work, but also to provide innovation solutions that help make things better, easier, and last longer.
